That is why the project must be evaluated as an exterior system from preparation through final topcoat.

One Prep Method Does Not Fit Every Driveway
A relatively clean bare driveway may require a different preparation approach than concrete with failing coatings, heavy contamination or prior repairs.

Every Surface Is Evaluated Separately
Connected areas may have different concrete conditions, coatings, moisture exposure or elevation changes. Each surface must be suitable for the selected coating system.
A Driveway Coating Is Not a Concrete-Leveling or Drainage-Correction Service
Existing low areas, slab waves, slope conditions, drainage characteristics, patches and elevation changes may remain after coating.
The decorative system follows the existing substrate rather than rebuilding the slab into a perfectly flat surface.
Standing Water Must Be Considered
Areas that hold water or drain poorly can affect performance, appearance and traction.
Drainage concerns should be identified before coating so realistic expectations can be established.
Concrete Continues to Move
Qualifying cracks may be treated before coating, but crack repair is cosmetic rather than structural.
Exterior concrete naturally expands, contracts and moves with temperature, moisture and soil conditions.
Existing cracks can reopen and new cracks can develop after the project is completed.
No Coating Can Guarantee Against Future Cracking
Our coating system can improve the appearance of qualifying repairs, but it cannot stop structural or substrate movement underneath the coating.

Use Coating-Safe Cleaners

No Need to Pressure Wash
Pressure washing, power washing and pressure-washer surface-cleaning equipment of any kind are prohibited on coated driveway and walkway surfaces. Use routine sweeping, a leaf blower, soft-bristle cleaning methods and coating-safe cleaners instead. If water is needed, use ordinary low-pressure water from a garden hose.
Watch Drainage
Keep drainage paths clear and avoid allowing organic material to remain in standing water.

Warranty duration and coverage depend on the selected system and written proposal. Coverage is subject to warranty terms, exclusions, maintenance requirements, substrate condition, moisture, drainage, structural movement, vehicle use and other applicable limitations.

Is this just driveway paint?
No. Floor Grip Medic installs a multi-layer decorative resinous coating system rather than basic concrete paint.
Can the coating handle vehicle traffic?
Qualifying driveway systems are designed for normal residential vehicle traffic, subject to proper installation, cure, maintenance and warranty limitations.
Can you coat an old stained driveway?
Often yes, depending on the type and severity of contamination. The existing surface must first be evaluated to determine appropriate preparation.
Can cracks be repaired?
Qualifying cracks may be treated before coating, but crack repair is cosmetic and does not prevent future concrete movement.
Will the coating fix low spots?
No. The coating is not a concrete-leveling or drainage-correction service. Existing low areas, slope and drainage characteristics may remain.
Is the driveway slip-proof?
No exterior surface can be guaranteed completely slip-proof. Traction aggregate can improve grip, but wet, dirty or contaminated surfaces may still become slippery.
Can my walkway be coated at the same time?
Yes, when the walkway or connected surface is suitable and specifically included in the project scope.
How long does installation take?
Installation time depends on square footage, surface condition, preparation, repairs, weather, moisture, temperature and cure requirements.
