Garage Floor Coatings in Palm Coast, Florida
A Three-Layer Polyurethane & Polyaspartic Garage Floor System With Lifetime Limited Residential Warranty
Floor Grip Medic installs professional decorative garage floor coating systems throughout Palm Coast and Flagler County, transforming bare, stained and worn concrete into a clean, durable and easy-to-maintain finished surface.
A Professional Garage Floor System Starts With the Concrete
A beautiful garage floor is only part of the goal. The coating system must also bond properly to qualifying concrete and handle vehicle traffic, foot traffic, cleaning and everyday residential use.
Floor Grip Medic evaluates the existing slab, prepares the surface according to its condition and installs a professional multi-layer resinous flooring system.
This is not basic floor paint and it is not simply a single coat marketed under the generic term “epoxy.”
- Rubberized polyurethane base coat
- Decorative full-broadcast flake
- Clear polyaspartic protective topcoat
- Multiple decorative color blends
- Project-specific professional surface preparation
- Lifetime limited residential warranty on qualifying installations
A Finished Garage Floor Changes the Way the Whole Space Feels
Today's garages often function as workshops, storage spaces, gyms, hobby areas and extensions of the home. A professionally finished floor can make the entire garage feel cleaner and more complete.
Cleaner Appearance
Decorative flake transforms bare concrete into a finished surface that visually completes the garage.
Easier Maintenance
The sealed surface is easier to sweep, vacuum and clean than porous unfinished concrete.
Decorative Finish
Choose from multiple flake blends to coordinate with walls, cabinetry, vehicles and the rest of the garage.
Durable Surface
Professional resinous flooring is designed for the demands associated with normal residential garage use.
Hide Discoloration
Full-broadcast decorative flake helps visually disguise many stains, color variations and cosmetic imperfections.
Long-Term Upgrade
A professionally installed garage floor creates a lasting visual improvement to the space.
Three Layers. Three Different Jobs.
Rather than asking one resin to do everything, each layer is selected according to the role it performs within the complete garage-floor system.
Rubberized Polyurethane Base
Properly prepared qualifying concrete receives our polyurethane base coat, creating the foundation of the flooring system.
Full-Broadcast Decorative Flake
Decorative vinyl flake is broadcast into the wet base to saturation, providing color, texture, coverage and visual depth.
Polyaspartic Clear Topcoat
The decorative flake is sealed beneath a clear polyaspartic protective finish that becomes the exposed wear surface.
Epoxy vs. Polyurea vs. Polyaspartic vs. the Floor Grip Medic System
“Epoxy floor” is often used as a generic phrase for garage coatings, but epoxy, polyurethane, polyurea and polyaspartic are different resin technologies with different characteristics.
| Coating | Typical Strengths | Considerations | Floor Grip Medic Approach |
|---|---|---|---|
| Traditional Epoxy | Strong bonding and build characteristics when properly formulated and installed. | Some traditional aromatic epoxy formulations can discolor with UV exposure and are generally more rigid than flexible polyurethane formulations. | Not our standard residential garage base-coat technology. |
| Polyurea | Fast curing and capable of producing durable resinous flooring systems. | Rapid cure can reduce working time. Performance depends on formulation, substrate condition and installation. | We do not select a system solely because it provides the fastest cure. |
| Polyaspartic | Durable, fast curing and available in UV-stable formulations. | Rapid cure requires proper installation technique and environmental awareness. | Used as the clear protective topcoat in our standard residential garage system. |
| Rubberized Polyurethane | Flexible and resilient formulations can provide an effective foundation for qualifying concrete. | Not every polyurethane formulation is the same and proper surface preparation remains critical. | Our preferred residential garage base-coat technology. |
| Floor Grip Medic System | Combines polyurethane, decorative flake and a polyaspartic wear surface. | Performance still depends on concrete condition, preparation and proper installation. | Different materials are used where their characteristics make the most sense. |
We Don't Simply Call Everything “Epoxy”
Many Palm Coast homeowners use “epoxy floor” to describe almost any decorative garage flooring system.
But epoxy is only one resin family. Polyurethane, polyurea and polyaspartic materials have different chemical and performance characteristics.
What is actually being installed matters more than the generic marketing term used to describe it.
Product Chemistry Is Only Part of the Job
Even premium material can fail when installed over poorly prepared or unsuitable concrete.
Surface condition, contamination, moisture, cracks, preparation, mixing, application and environmental conditions can all affect the completed floor.
The Coating Is Only as Reliable as the Surface Underneath It
Proper, project-specific surface preparation is one of the most important parts of a professional garage-floor coating project.
We evaluate the visible concrete condition before selecting the preparation approach.
Existing paint, coatings, sealers and other materials can affect preparation.
Visible contamination is evaluated before the coating system is installed.
The surface is prepared according to the existing slab and specified coating system.
Appropriate cosmetic crack treatment may be performed when included in the scope.
Perimeters and qualifying transitions receive detail preparation as required.
We Don't Treat Every Garage the Same
A garage with relatively clean bare concrete may require a different preparation approach than a slab with old coatings, sealers, adhesive, contamination or previous repairs. Final preparation is determined by the actual project conditions and written scope.
Actual Garage Floor Projects
These are real garage floors completed by Floor Grip Medic using professional decorative resinous flooring systems.
Garage Stem Walls Are Included
Many Palm Coast and Flagler County garages have exposed concrete stem walls around the perimeter of the slab.
Exposed concrete stem walls are prepared and coated as part of every garage floor coating project, creating a complete finish that coordinates with the floor.
- Typical 4–6 inch exposed stem walls
- Finish can coordinate with the garage floor
- Reduces the unfinished concrete appearance
- Included in every garage floor coating scope
Stem Walls Are Part of the Finish
Vertical concrete requires different preparation and application techniques than the horizontal floor. This work is included in our garage floor coating scope.
A Coating Improves the Floor — It Does Not Rebuild the Concrete
Garage floor coatings transform appearance and protect qualifying concrete, but they do not make an existing slab perfectly flat or eliminate every original concrete characteristic.
Not a Concrete-Leveling Service
Existing low areas, elevation changes, slab waves, patching and previous repairs may remain visible to some degree after coating.
Crack Repairs Are Cosmetic
Qualifying cracks may be filled before coating, but crack treatment does not structurally repair the concrete or guarantee that cracks will never reopen.
Concrete Can Continue to Move
Concrete can expand, contract and move over time. Structural movement and future cracking are outside the control of the coating system.
Lifetime Limited Residential Garage Floor Warranty
Qualifying residential garage floor systems include Floor Grip Medic's lifetime limited warranty against covered peeling or delamination. Coverage is subject to written warranty terms, exclusions, maintenance requirements, concrete condition, moisture, structural movement and other applicable limitations.

Is your garage floor system epoxy?
No. Our standard residential garage system uses a rubberized polyurethane base coat, a full decorative flake broadcast and a clear polyaspartic protective topcoat.
What is the difference between epoxy and your system?
Traditional epoxy is one resin technology. Our garage flooring system combines multiple coating technologies so each layer performs a specific function within the complete system.
Do you use polyaspartic?
Yes. Clear polyaspartic is used as the protective topcoat over the decorative flake in our standard residential garage system.
How long does installation take?
Many residential garage installations can be completed quickly, but project duration depends on slab condition, repairs, square footage, existing coatings and curing conditions.
Can you coat over an existing painted garage floor?
Potentially, but unsuitable or failing existing materials must first be addressed. The slab and current surface are evaluated before the preparation method is selected.
Can cracks be repaired?
Qualifying cracks can often be cosmetically treated before coating. Crack repair is not structural and cannot guarantee against future movement.
Can I choose my decorative flake color?
Yes. Multiple decorative color blends are available so the floor can coordinate with your garage and property.
Can you coat garage stem walls?
Yes. Exposed concrete garage stem walls are included in every garage floor coating scope.
Do you offer garage floor coatings in Palm Coast?
Yes. Floor Grip Medic serves Palm Coast, Flagler Beach, Bunnell and surrounding Flagler County communities.
Does the garage warranty really last for life?
Qualifying residential garage systems include a lifetime limited warranty subject to the written warranty terms, covered conditions, exclusions and maintenance requirements.
